"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.

Even WinSTEP on dA is nothing but stuff that is too over styled, and TONS of Windows 7 look a likes... I'll just have to hope you make some new themes that I'll like, for WinSTEP.
By the way, what makes WinSTEP alot different than WindowBlinds? I've used both, but I don't see much of a difference. Maybe there is something I'm missing.
litestep is a shell replacement, windowblinds is just a skinning engine. with litestep one can completely retool the windows environment to their graphical and workflow specifications. it does take some getting used to, though. are you sure you're looking at the right gallery? i don't see any themes that look like windows 7 in the litestep gallery: [link]
